Lucky Promotions is a booking agency with offices in Dayton, Ohio and Houston, TX. We represent some of the most creative and successful artists working their way up in music. We provide a wide range of booking services to bands and other agencies. The agency serves as the focal point through which musicians can ease their work load and share ideas.
In 2006 Lucky met Bill who would later talk him into helping organize a few local shows at a club in Dayton. Lucky had been out of things for quite some time and said no but Bill proved persistent and thus he and Lucky paired up without a company name and began working on organizing local shows. With a new direction and sense of purpose and Bill’s help, the local scene began to take on a new life with each passing show. By the end of 2006 and some successful smaller shows, Lucky Promotions was a concept in the works and nearly ready to launch into public view. In January of 2007, Lucky was contacted by the famous Goth musician Voltaire about organizing and hosting his birthday show in Dayton. After some long discussions and consideration, and the fact that the date was 17 days away from when the show was needed, Lucky reluctantly agreed and began to quickly put the show into motion. With the aid of Benjamin Bader, a graphics designer that was relatively new to Lucky, posters and advertising took shape literally overnight. Within 48 hours a full advertising campaign had been launched for the show and The Foundry night club secured for the event. Posters and handbills made their way nearly to Michigan and down into parts of Kentucky and Indiana more than 3 hours away. College campuses surged with the news of Voltaire’s arrival. On January 26, 2007 Voltaire arrived in Dayton and played to a crowd of approximately 450 people and thus Lucky Promotions exploded onto the scene with a reputation for pulling off last minute shows. With the show a success, Lucky, Bill, and Ben became the team that would continue to define Lucky Promotions.
Lucky Promotions continues to make a name for it with other agencies, record labels, and promoters in being able to secure and organize last minute tour dates, tour package sales, and replacement bands for tours. In July 2007 Lucky Promotions hired JP Voice Overs to design video media, aid in writing commercial copy, and to help market the company. In November of 2007, Lucky Promotions acquired Sanctuary Merchandise and added it to the company as a sub-division to handle design work of any kind and design sales.
Along with Bill and Ben, Lucky Promotions is now joined by Nick Clark and Kai. Nick is one of our lead agents and is more than likely on a tour most times. Kai is the new local promotions representative for us in Dayton.
