Steam Powered Giraffe is a musical pantomime troupe featuring robot imitation with song. Their hilarious and engaging musical performances have been entertaining San Diego audiences for years, while their incredibly popular busking shows have been bringing awareness and tourism to the local, little-known landmark, "Balboa Park".

Imagine the sound of nostalgic tunes meshed with cheers and laughter resonating through a theater. As you are guided inside, you catch a glimpse at the source of the music: four vintage robots. Hydraulics hiss and motors hum as the automated quadruplet begin to snap into mechanical movement. Their instruments ring and they begin to belt out in four part harmony.

Steam Powered Giraffe combines the visual of robot pantomime with sketches, improvised comedic dialogue, and music. The robots play a collection of original Vaudeville inspired music, covering a wide range of different eras, fused with modern mentality and executed in a super-sleek, one-of-a-kind performance.
